Pricing & Modelling
Within our Pricing & Modelling department, we develop state-of-the-art methods for risk-appropriate treaty evaluation with our broad mathematical and scientific expertise. As a competent partner, we offer you flexible solutions that are quickly adaptable to your individual needs.
Our responsibilities include actuarial pricing services, NatCat modelling as well as data and application management.

Legal & Claims Support
In our Legal Department, we advise our colleagues on all legal issues relating to reinsurance, review treaties and take care of worldwide matters with other authorities. Our Claims Department settles the entire claims burden of R+V Re and thus fulfils the value proposition for our clients.
Within the Compliance responsibility we monitor all external requirements to ensure the legality of internal procedures and guidelines. In addition, it protects the company from both economic and reputational damage.

Accounting & Sales Support
We are responsible for the efficient technical accounting, transactions and accounts receivable management. In addition, we actively shape the underwriting process - from quotation and treaty management to partner and travel management.
By constantly optimising our processes and our IT applications, we offer our clients a consistently high level of service.

Financial Department
Our Financial Department acts as the central interface to the financial division of R+V Versicherung AG. In this role, we ensure a seamless flow of information and work with regard to the processes involved in preparing the balance sheet.
We are also responsible for managing our liquidity and supporting our colleagues with a high level of technical expertise in global tax-related matters.
Another focus is on the design and further development of our IT landscape. Together with our colleagues from our IT department, we develop customized reinsurance applications, thereby creating the basis for keeping our work environment future-oriented.

Research & Development
The Research & Development department acts as a central interface for essential topics that affect all areas of reinsurance. It identifies and manages both important and new fields of interest while developing solutions that drive company progress. This function enables other departments to focus on their core tasks. The department’s key responsibilities include acquiring retrocession and playing a significant role in portfolio management. Additionally, our marketing unit is responsible for the positioning of R+V Re, ensuring consistent internal and external communications, and supporting our Front Office team in successfully retaining clients.
